Waco, Texas

There’s something so spectacular about visiting the Magnolia Silos created by none other than the inspiring mastermind Joanna Gaines. Every ounce of this place is so well thought out and makes you never want to leave, which is why my bestie and I visited this location almost every day – sometimes twice a day on our one week vacation in December of 2021 through New Years Day 2022.

From the luscious green landscapes, to the delectable mouth-watering coffee, to the decadent food, and to the gorgeous shops all throughout the property, this place is one of the few little paradises on earth. It’s the perfect little vacation for a girls weekend – or a family’s day of fun.

Straight in the heart of downtown Waco, the Magnolia Silos is the best little place to explore and make memories that last forever!

So let’s go on my little Waco adventure!

Start Your Day with

A Little Cup of “Jo” and a Chocolate “Chip” Croissant

As you start your day at the Magnolia Silos, I recommend first stopping by and enjoying the Magnolia Press. Here you will find the finest coffee and the most delicious goodies. I still daydream about the wonderful food to this day. Try to arrive when the doors open in order to bypass long lines and to guarantee an indoor seat. Trust me, it’s too cute to miss. You won’t regret it.

My favorite coffee was the seasonal hot White Peppermint Mocha Latte. This drink was so amazing that I bought it several days in a row. The other classic favorite coffee is the 1905, crafted with toasted marshmallows. You just need to try it for yourself.

A perfect breakfast to start the perfect day.
I absolutely love the interior of this coffee shop.
They’re even more tasty in person. 2 for $3.50 and worth every single penny.
Coffee prices range from $2.50-$4.75. Way cheaper than your leading coffee brands! And honestly, this is some of the greatest coffee I’ve ever had.

One of the many things I love about Magnolia is the amount of detailed planning that went into the entire facility. You will feel just as excited walking the grounds as you will feel engaging in the activities or shopping. The whole environment is very clean and family friendly. A gate encompasses the grounds and provides an extra depth of security. It’s a truly enchanting experience. (Note: There is no charge to visit the facility or walk through the chapel.)

These shops are so cute!
Alabama Sweet Tea
The only food truck we tried sold Alabama Sweet Tea, but there were so many to choose from! One food truck even represented the Magnolia Table (see below for my complete review).

The Chapel was one of my favorite experiences at Magnolia. For starters, it provided a nice break from the scorching heat. But besides that, the inside was a dream. I absolutely loved the charming architecture. Elegant simplicity at its finest. (Note: We visited Magnolia at the end of December which is why there are Christmas wreaths on display).

A Step Inside

Magnolia offers a variety of places to shop including Magnolia Home, Magnolia Market, Seed + Supply, and 6 other different shops at the silos. The prices range from store to store.

Even though I didn’t buy items on the grounds (other than coffee grounds at Magnolia Press), I greatly enjoyed browsing. (Side Note: Discounted Magnolia clothing is sold at the Little Shop on Bosque. I bought two shirts and a postcard there for cheap! I 100% recommend taking the 10 minute drive).

I could go on and on about these cupcakes. I loved them so much that I actually flew some home to share with my family. My favorites included the Campfire S’mores (seasonal), The Classic, and the Strawberries N’ Cream. They are out of this world, and they are made fresh every single day.

“Roadtrips are more fun with cupcakes.”

The Magnolia Table offers a variety of yummy food during breakfast and lunch hours. They are open from 6:00AM – 3:00PM Monday through Saturday and they are closed on Sundays. I definitely recommend making a reservation beforehand (a day in advance, preferred) so you do not have to wait several hours to get a table.

Visit the gift shop while waiting on your table. This little gift shop offers a variety of items including kitchen utensils, hand towels, ball caps, jellies, doggy biscuits, and even some of the specialty items from the restaurant! (You can actually buy the pimento cheese and famous crackers! Such a great option if you don’t have time to stay and eat).

The pimento cheese (and the chocolate croissant) were my two favorites!
These crackers come with the pimento cheese. Let me tell you – these are so addicting! (Also sold in the Gift Shop!)
Go big or go home, definitely when it comes to food.

Thanks for coming along on my Magnolia adventure! I hope you enjoyed my little blog and can come enjoy Magnolia in person one day for yourself! Stay turned for the best driving-distance destinations from Waco to make your vacation even more special!
