Colorado is one of my favorite places I’ve ever visited, and it’s definitely a place I often recommend. Whether it’s for a long trip or an epic weekend, I want to share with you a few pictures from my 2024 Colorado trip below!

Denver is the perfect location to begin your trip! Why, you may ask? Because it’s in the perfect location and surrounded by SO MANY AMAZING places to visit. Whether it’s Garden of the Gods, Red Rock Amphitheater, Flat Irons, the Glen Eyrie Castle or places more western like Breckenridge, Vail, and Maroon Bells, you’ll always find amazing activities to do, delicious food to devour, and picture-perfect destinations.

So what are you waiting for? Let’s begin!

Breckenridge is an adorable, quaint town. We enjoyed a meal there and then came back by on our way to the airport to grab coffee. The architecture is so adorable in this little place–but let me warn you for those who aren’t used to high elevations. Denver is called a “mile high city,” but Breckenridge, although only a two hour drive from Denver, is over 9,600 feet above sea level!

Here’s what you need to know: The town doesn’t feel like it’s high in elevation (even if you’re afraid of heights, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about as long as you stay on the main roads). However, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE drink electrolytes and pace yourself, especially if you’re not used to high elevation. Trust me! I went from North Carolina (900 feet above sea level), flew to Denver, and then immediately journeyed to Breckenridge and I got SO SICK! It took me a while to recover. So don’t follow in my footsteps. LOL. Pace yourself. Drink LOTS of electrolytes! Even consider spending the night in Denver BEFORE you make the short drive to Breckenridge so that your body will have time to adjust.
